How to: Bright Lips for Spring

Hi guys, hope you are surviving through the week! Even though it is Autumn here in Australia and that the weather has been dreadful, it is Spring time in the rest of the world and I am going to dedicate this post to my friends back home in Singapore and Indonesia. Today's post will teach you how to rock on the bright lips for Spring!! Spring is my favourite season and a bright lip is definitely something not to be missed. The next time you don't have the time to put on much makeup, try applying a bright lipstick and it will instantly pull your look together (:

Here's how:

I've chosen a tinted moisturiser for this look because I don't want something with a full coverage. I want my face to look fresh and radiant. Apply concealer to under eye and areas that need concealing. Remember to set it with a powder if you have an oily face, just along the t-zone and chin will do.

My brows are kept full but not so strong for this look because I don't want it to clash with my bright lips.

With the eyeshadows, I have decided to go with more neutral colours. Apply a cream coloured eyeshadow (I used Maybelline's Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded) as a base all over the lid. Followed by a gold coloured eyeshadow to make the eyes pop a little. Define your crease area using a taupe eyeshadow (I used the colour "Naked 2" in the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette). Lastly, apply a dark brown colour close to the upper lash line and outer lower lash line, this will act as your eyeliner.
* if you want to define your eyes more, tightline your upper eyelid with a waterproof black pencil liner
Curl your lashes and apply 2 coats of mascara.

Apply a coral blush to the apples of your cheeks. I decided to skip bronzer just because I want the look to look more fun and fresh.

Apply this beautiful bright coral lipstick on your lips and get ready to rock Spring! Here, I used the YSL Rouge Volupte in 33.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you like this look! xx

March beauty favourites

Hi everyone! Time flies and before you know it, it is already April!

Which means, it is time for March's beauty favourites! YAY! Because this is the first ever monthly favourites, these items are not necessarily what I used only in March. They are what I have been loving so far and thought it would be nice to share it with you guys! Here goes...

Mario Badescu Silver Powder -- $17.95
I've heard so many people rave about this product that I had to give it a try. It claims to remove blackheads, stubborn clogged pores, and excessive t-zone oiliness. Sure, it didn't remove my blackheads immediately, but I have definitely noticed a great difference. My nose feels smoother, and seems a lot cleaner than usual. This product is definitely worth a try!

Jouer Matte Moisture Tint -- $44.95
This tinted moisturiser is nothing like what I have tried. Most tinted moisturisers I own are more on the sheer side, and gives a dewy finish. This one gives a velvety matte finish, which is perfect for summer! The coverage for this one is more on the light-medium side, and it is definitely buildable. It contains Vitamin A, C & E, and I like how light this feels on my skin.
The only downfall is that it only contains an SPF of 15, so you might want to apply a sunblock before for maximum sun protection!

Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder --$12.95
My first powder from Rimmel and this certainly did not disappoint. I have combination skin, and usually by mid day, my nose kinda gets a little oily. This powder has significantly helped with shine control, has a slight scent but nothing too overpowering.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion --$50
I love this blush so much that I'm actually thinking of getting it in all 5 colours. This particular one I've got is of a soft peachy/coral colour that looks beautiful on all skin colour. Perfect for summer for a sun kissed look, and it also gives a soft sheen to the cheeks to help you look more radiant.

Benefit Gimme Brow -- $32
Definitely a go to when I'm in a rush. It helps to fill in and build brows all in one stroke. Genius!

Lush Popcorn lip Scrub --$9.90
I have been using a lot of lipsticks lately and this lip scrub has helped to exfoliate my lips to softness! Did I mention that it smells exactly like butter popcorn?! Yum.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 110 -- $12.95
This bright coral coloured lipstick is such a fun colour for your lips! I think it pretty much suits all skin colour, helps give a nice fresh look to your face!

NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu -- $10
The best nude coloured lip gloss I have ever tried. It delivers high colour pigment, smells so yummy and is not sticky. Leaves your lips feeling soft as well.

Left:Rimmel Lasting Finish; Right: NYX Butter Gloss
Bumble and bumble Pret-a-Powder --$40
It claims to be equal parts dry shampoo, style extender and volume in a pinch. I couldn't agree more. You just have to shake gently at roots and massage, to create an instant lift. Love this!

Hope you all enjoyed reading! Have a great weekend ahead xx
